The 2nd book in the “Dies” series, Dr. Chandrix Dies, is now at draft stage.
I’ve been asked by a few fans to post the process and really it isn’t that complicated – but it is time consuming and completely necessary.
The BIGGEST failure of a lot of independent authors is this: they rush to get their book published, and they often do not spend time making sure it is the best it can possibly be. That means spending a bit of money. That means getting an editor – yes, you heard me you need an editor. I don’t care if you think you’re good enough, or you have a qualification in writing – you need an independent pair of eyes who can ask you difficult questions about your writing.
You need beta readers. People you know and trust who will read and critique and not just tell you want they think you want to hear. You need to get peer reviews; you need advice, critiques – and – you need a good cover.
This takes time and it takes patience.
I have plenty of time. I have no patience.
My target month for publication is September.
